A Royal Salute for “Hebridean Princess”
Hebridean Princess, the smallest luxury cruise ship in the world, furnished in traditional tweeds and tartan, is like a floating country house hotel for just forty nine guests who are treated to 5 star all-inclusive hospitality.
Her Majesty the Queen chartered “Hebridean Princess” in 2006 and again in 2010 for private family holidays around the islands of West Coast of Scotland.
To commemorate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee year, Hebridean Island Cruises was granted a Royal Warrant. This is currently the only travel company to hold such a prestigious award which is given to people and businesses in recognition of service and excellence.
Chairman of All Leisure Holidays, Roger Allard commented: “ The appointment of the Royal Warrant is a great honour and recognises the incredible standards set by our staff on board Hebridean Princess.”
The ship has also been presented with a Grand Award for Best Cruise by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report, the international luxury travel magazine. Cruise itineraries around the Scottish Islands focus on wildlife, castles, history and heritage. The cuisine is exceptional – fruit, eggs, kippers for breakfast, lavish lunch, afternoon tea, canapés and cocktails and gourmet dinners featuring langoustine, Colonsay oysters, Inverawe smoked salmon, lamb, venison, Isle of Mull cheese.
The innovative vision of the original founders of Hebridean Princess, was to offer guests the opportunity to sail around the Scottish Islands as if on their own yacht. Join just a few dozen like-minded world travellers on this country house-at sea, for a magical adventure in casual-elegant style and comfort with exemplary 5 star hospitality.
Don’t just take my word for it, here are a few guests to give their views:
Hebridean Princess works in partnership with the Royal Scotsman, the luxury Belmond train. Combine a two or three night journey from Edinburgh to the Highlands or West Coast with a 7 night cruise, for the ultimate exploration of Scotland by land and sea. Classic old fashioned train travel at its best:
The Hebridean Princess cruise season runs from March to November. Each year, the cruise calendar offers a distinctive and diverse selection of 4 – 7 night voyages around the Scottish Highlands and Islands, as well as ports of call around the British Isles, Ireland and Europe. Themed itineraries, with guest lecturers and specialist guides, include Footloose walking excursions, bird-watching, wildlife, golf, castles, heritage, cuisine and culture.
As part of the Hebridean fleet, the “Royal Crown” river boat, accommodates 79 guests for cruises along the Rhine and Danube. The 1930s Art Deco design and all-inclusive hospitality creates a classic, luxury travel experience for a relaxing river journey.
